Field Trip

Last weekend we took the kids downtown to the Museum of Natural History. I think after watching the Inauguration the week before, we were itching to be in DC. Grandma and Granddad Woodstock came with us on our adventure, but I'm sad to say we didn't even get a picture of them. We didn't really take that many pictures which is odd, I'm usually always snapping away. We didn't even get a picture of Ryder, I promise he was there too.
I guess we were just having too much fun! Here are a few pictures we did take....

The US Capital
Ella and Mommy after seeing the butterfly exhibit.
Ella said it was her favorite thing at that day...

A forgot the camera when we went into the butterfly exhibit...so I took one of the wall.

Daddy and Pierce playing with the Rain Stick....

Ella looking at something interesting...

Pierce, our little monkey sitting with Mr. Monkey....

We really had a great day!!

Ah, yes, Grandma Woodstock—she comes by it naturally--Alex’s Grandmother (Grandma Woodstock’s and my mother) didn’t like to have her picture taken either. Old habits are hard to break!

I must admit that I miss seeing that Capital Dome, the museums, and all the other sites around DC, having grown up and lived there for most of my life. The natural beauty here (SC Lowcountry) is awesome, but there’s something about our Nation’s Capital... I used to love those field trips with our kids too. Did Pierce explain the rain stick sufficiently to Daddy? Did he tell him that there will be a quiz?

We’ll forgive you this time for not getting a photo of Ryder, but keep them coming—they’re growing up SO fast—we don’t want to miss anything...

Thinking of you, and praying for you, Alex, Ella, Pierce, & Ryder often,
Love,
Uncle Ray
